Most answers are below. If yours isn’t, email me and I’ll get back to you.
Include your device, iOS or macOS version, and what you expected to happen.
Why is the blue location indicator on?
Mileo keeps recording while a trip is running, even after you lock your phone, and iOS shows the blue indicator whenever an app does that. It goes away when you stop the trip.
Does Mileo drain my battery?
GPS uses battery while a trip is running, like any navigation app. Between trips Mileo doesn’t use GPS. Smart Tracking (Pro) uses low-power location changes and motion to notice when you start driving.
Smart Tracking didn’t start a trip.
Smart Tracking needs two permissions: Location set to Always, and Motion & Fitness. Check both in the iOS Settings app under Mileo. It also needs to be turned on in Mileo’s Settings, and it is part of Mileo Pro.
How do I move my trips to a new iPhone?
In Mileo’s Settings, make a backup. It saves one file, to iCloud Drive or anywhere in Files. On the new iPhone, open the same screen and import the file. You can merge it with what is there or replace everything.
Your trips also move if you restore the new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one.
How do I cancel Mileo Pro?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Mileo. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Is the Tax Center tax advice?
No. Mileo keeps a mileage log and estimates deductions with the IRS standard rates. Check with a tax professional about your own situation.
How do I delete my data?
Swipe to delete individual trips, or delete the Mileo app to remove everything on the phone. Mileo has no server copy of your trips to delete.
How do I reach you from the app?
In Mileo, open Settings › About and tap Help & Support to come here, or Email Support to write to me directly.
